Wangchen Nyima is from Darlag County, Golok. When he was young, his father was a bandit, and robbed people until he was caught by the police and taken to prison. His mother then cared for him alone, and did not have the means to make a living, so they were forced to beg for their livelihood. The principal of our school, Khenpo Kunzang, came to know of this situation and enrolled Wangchen Nyima here in 2003.
