Tibetan Elders
Lochung - Elderly Home Resident
Pema Dechen Choling is an elderly home located 10 minutes from Sengdruk Taktse School. It is currently home to approximately 30 elderly Tibetans who have no means to take care of themselves, and no living family members who can care for them. The elderly Tibetans who live here are able to spend the last years of their lives in a happy and comfortable environment, and to dedicate their lives to prayer and meditation.
Videos
The people of Golok love to sing songs, and the students of Sengdruk Taktse School are no exception. All day long you can hear somebody on the school grounds singing a song. Combining their love of singing, and their skills as poets, the students of Sengdruk Taktse School have made some music videos of their singing. Most of the songs are their own, although there are some traditional songs, and a song written by Khenpo Kunzang as well.
