My name is Jigme Lodro. I am from Ponkor, Darlag County, Golok. When I was young, our house burned down and my father lost his life. After my father's death, my mother had to look after three young children by herself. This was very difficult for her. When I was eight years old I arrived in Darlag at which time I met with the principal of Sengdruk Taktse School, Khenpo Kunzang Gyaltsen. I explained to him my entire situation, and with loving kindness he provided me with the fortunate opportunity to study at this school. Since entering this school in 1999, I have made efforts in studying all subjects as well as poetry, drawing, and singing and playing guitar.
