
There is no way to improve this situation except through the education of Tibetan children, in particular those children
who have lost parents, or simply cannot afford to go to school.
Ultimately, education will improve their circumstances and also server
to uplift and preserve Tibetan culture as a whole, which is in grave danger of being lost forever.
Sengdruk Taktse School
Built at the recommendation of Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok, Sengdruk Taktse is home to nearly 300 children who cannot afford to pay for school, or who have no parents to look after them.

Traling School
Traling School is located on the grounds of Traling Gompa, an important branch of Khatok Monastery, located in Golok. Since the school is located inside the monastery grounds, the students are all male. Most of these young students also come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and many of them aspire to one day become monks and scholars.
