The Power of 15
Only a handful of Tibetan students have been able to leave China to study in the U.S. In the fall of 2011, Jigme Trodral and Jigme Dawa were fortunate enough to come to Spokane Washington to study English at Spokane Falls Community college. Both of these exceptional young men want to finish the one-year ESL program and then continue with their education in the US so that they can return to Tibet and be of most benefit. They come from a very remote region in Tibet where they grew up at a school for orphans of nomadic families. After attending college in Beijing for a year and a half, they decided they could be of most benefit if they returned to their school to teach after completing their education.
With the Power of 15 Campaign, we are hoping to generate funds to support the education of these two brilliant hard-working young men in the US by seeking individuals who are willing to commit to an offering of $15.00/month.
